The POCO X7 Pro 5G has arrived in Indonesia as a smartphone that combines top-tier specifications with a competitive price. POCO is known for delivering high performance at an affordable price, and the X7 Pro continues that tradition. This article will thoroughly explore its design, performance, display, battery, camera, and additional features.
Design and Appearance
The POCO X7 Pro 5G features a modern, elegant design. Its body is crafted from premium materials, offering a sturdy feel in hand. With a thickness of only 7.9 mm and a weight of around 200 grams, it remains comfortable to use despite its large display. The color options are also attractive, including Onyx Black, Aurora Blue, and Sunrise Gold.
The rear houses a neatly arranged camera module and the iconic POCO logo. Meanwhile, the front sports a slightly curved screen, giving it a futuristic feel. This design isn’t just about aesthetics — it enhances everyday usability.
Powerful Performance with MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra
At the heart of the POCO X7 Pro 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset. This processor offers high performance with 4nm fabrication, making it more power-efficient yet powerful. The octa-core CPU clocks up to 3.2 GHz, making it ideal for multitasking, gaming, and heavy tasks.
To support graphics performance, the device includes the Mali-G720 GPU, delivering smooth visual experiences, especially when playing games with high graphics settings. Paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, the smartphone remains responsive even with multiple apps running.
WildBoost Optimization 3.0 Technology
POCO introduces WildBoost Optimization 3.0, a feature specifically optimized for gamers. This technology ensures the CPU and GPU maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions. Additionally, power consumption is more efficient, prolonging battery life even when gaming for hours.
LiquidCool 4.0 Cooling System
To maintain performance stability, the POCO X7 Pro 5G is equipped with the LiquidCool 4.0 cooling system. This technology uses the POCO 3D IceLoop system with an ultra-large 5,000 mm² loop pump. It accelerates heat dissipation, keeping the device cool even during intense gaming or multitasking.
Efficient cooling also extends the lifespan of internal components like the processor and battery. Compared to traditional Vapor Chamber (VC) systems, this cooling system is claimed to be three times more effective in dispersing heat.
Massive 6,000 mAh Battery and Fast Charging
The POCO X7 Pro 5G packs a 6,000 mAh battery, supporting all-day usage even for heavy users. In tests, the device lasted up to 14.5 hours of continuous video playback.
Fast charging is another standout feature. With 90W HyperCharge technology, the battery can fully charge in less than 40 minutes. This technology is supported by the Surge P2 chip, ensuring safe charging while keeping the device temperature stable.
1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED Display
The display is one of the POCO X7 Pro 5G’s main highlights. It features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels). The 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth navigation, whether scrolling through social media, browsing, or gaming.
With a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, the screen remains clear even under direct sunlight. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision technology enhance the viewing experience with vibrant colors and deep contrast.
50 MP Camera with OIS and AI Algorithm
In the photography department, the POCO X7 Pro 5G boasts a 50 MP main camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor. The f/1.5 aperture ensures the camera captures more light, delivering bright and clear photos even in low-light conditions.
The Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature helps keep shots steady, reducing blur from hand movements. Additionally, POCO integrates AI algorithms that detect objects and automatically adjust camera settings for optimal photo results.
An 8 MP ultra-wide camera and 2 MP macro camera complete the rear camera setup. On the front, there’s a 16 MP selfie camera with beautification features that produce natural-looking selfies.
Connectivity and Extra Features
The POCO X7 Pro 5G supports comprehensive connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. An in-display fingerprint sensor allows quick and secure device unlocking.
The smartphone also features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, providing clear, rich audio quality. A 3.5mm headphone jack remains available for users who prefer wired headphones.
Conclusion
The POCO X7 Pro 5G offers a complete package for users seeking a smartphone with high performance, a quality display, advanced cameras, and outstanding battery life. With a more competitive price compared to other flagships, the POCO X7 Pro 5G is a strong contender in the upper mid-range segment.
