1. Futuristic and Ergonomic Design

The ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition comes with a futuristic, aggressive design typical of the ROG series. Its metal body, combined with RGB accents on the back, gives the phone a bold, modern look. Asus has also added Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back for extra durability.

Dimensions and Weight

Dimensions: 173 x 77 x 10.4 mm

While it’s heavier than regular smartphones, this is justified by the built-in cooling system and large battery.

Signature ROG RGB Lighting

The ROG logo on the back lights up with customizable RGB effects. There’s also an Aura Lighting mode that syncs with other devices in the ROG ecosystem.

2. 6.78-inch AMOLED Display with 185 Hz Refresh Rate

The display is crucial for gamers, and Asus delivers big. The ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition features a 6.78-inch AMOLED E6 display with a 185 Hz refresh rate. This ensures an incredibly smooth visual experience, whether you’re gaming or scrolling through social media.

Resolution: 2448 x 1080 pixels
Touch Sampling Rate: 720 Hz
Peak Brightness: 2500 nits
Delta-E: < 1 (high color accuracy)

With a peak brightness of 2500 nits, the screen remains clear even under direct sunlight. Asus also includes HDR10+ support and Eye Care Display technology for reduced eye strain.

3. Blazing Fast Performance with Snapdragon 8 Elite

Gaming phones require the fastest processors, and Asus equips the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite — one of the fastest SoCs of 2025.

Core Specifications:

Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite
CPU: Octa-core (1x 3.36 GHz Cortex-X4, 4x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A720, 3x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A520)
GPU: Adreno 750

With this combination, heavy games like Genshin Impact, PUBG Mobile, and the latest AAA Android titles run smoothly at max graphics settings.

4. AeroActive Cooler X Pro Cooling System

One of the biggest challenges for gaming phones is overheating. Asus solves this with the advanced AeroActive Cooler X Pro, an external fan attachment designed to keep temperatures low.

Cooling Technology:

Next-Gen Vapor Chamber: 30% larger than previous generations
Diamond Thermal Compound: Transfers heat faster
AeroActive Cooler X Pro: Reduces temperatures by up to 15°C

With this system, the phone stays cool even during long gaming sessions.

Although known as a gaming phone, the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition also boasts impressive camera capabilities.

Main Camera: 50 MP (f/1.8) with OIS and gimbal stabilizer
Ultra Wide: 13 MP (f/2.4)
Macro: 5 MP
Selfie Camera: 32 MP

The gimbal stabilizer helps capture smoother videos and clearer photos, making this phone a great option for content creators who also love gaming.

6. Massive 6000 mAh Battery with 80W Fast Charging

Battery life is critical for gaming phones. The ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition packs a 6000 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Battery Life:

Intensive gaming: Up to 12 hours
Video streaming: 18 hours
