In a prosperous kingdom, there lived a man named Abu Nawas. He was widely known for his cleverness and humor. The king of the kingdom liked Abu Nawas very much and often gave him strange and difficult challenges.
One day, the King summoned Abu Nawas to the palace.
"Abu Nawas," said the King with a smile, "I want you to do something impossible. Tomorrow, bring me a bucket of sunlight. If you fail, you will be punished!"
Hearing this command, Abu Nawas didn’t panic. He nodded calmly and replied, "Alright, Your Majesty. I will bring it tomorrow."
The next day, Abu Nawas came to the palace carrying an empty bucket. The King looked confused.
"Where is the sunlight, Abu Nawas?" asked the King in surprise.
Abu Nawas smiled slyly. "Your Majesty, this bucket was full of sunlight. But since I sealed it tightly last night, the sunlight got trapped and couldn’t escape. As soon as I opened the lid here, the sunlight immediately ran away!"
The King was silent for a moment, then laughed heartily. "You truly are clever, Abu Nawas! Alright, I’ll spare you from punishment."
From that moment on, Abu Nawas became even more famous as someone who was not only funny but also very smart. The children in the village often gathered to hear stories of his cleverness.
Moral of the story:
Wit and creative thinking can save us from difficult situations. Think outside the box because sometimes the most unexpected solution is the most effective one.
