The Arrogant Ant and the Chrysalis

It is told that in a very dense forest lived various animals, ranging from ants, elephants, tigers, rhinos, birds, and so on. One day, a terrible storm arrived. The storm came suddenly, causing all the forest inhabitants to panic. All the animals were frantic and ran in fear, trying to escape the oncoming storm.

The next day, the sun rose warmly and the birds' chirping sounded melodious, but what happened? Many trees in the forest had fallen down and were scattered everywhere, making the forest a mess.

A Chrysalis was weeping and saddened by what had happened on a fallen tree. "Hoo...hoo...how sad we are. We were hit by the storm, but there was no safe place to shelter...huhu..." the sad Chrysalis mourned the situation.

From beneath the ground, an Ant emerged and spoke arrogantly, "Hey, Chrysalis, look at me! I was protected from the storm the other day, unlike you who were on the ground. Look at your body! You just clung to a fallen tree and couldn't shelter from the storm," the Ant said boastfully.

The Ant became more and more arrogant and kept talking like that to all the animals in the forest. Until one day, the Ant was walking across a patch of quicksand. The Ant didn't know that it was walking on quicksand which could swallow and pull it into the mud.

"Help...help...I'm trapped in quicksand...help!" the Ant shouted. Then a voice was heard from above, "It seems you're in trouble, Ant?" The Ant looked up, searching for the source of the voice. It turned out the voice came from a Butterfly flying above the quicksand.

"Who are you?" the Ant asked confusedly. "I am the Chrysalis you insulted back then," the Butterfly replied.

The Ant felt very ashamed and begged the Butterfly to help it escape the sucking mud. "Please help me, Butterfly, I'm sorry! I was so arrogant back then about being able to survive the storm just because I sheltered underground." The Butterfly finally helped the Ant, and the Ant was saved and promised that it would never insult any of God's creatures in the forest again.
